This is a requirement for boat operators who were born on or after January 1, 1988 to obtain a Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card in order to operate a motorboat with ten horsepower or more.
There’s very little for you to bring for your ride on the waters of Miami depending on what you plan to do. Check out requirements page for additional information. Good Time Boat Rental supplies you with a cooler. You are welcome to bring your favorite adult beverages (21+) or anything else for your guests to drink as well. We recommend that you bring bags of ice to keep your beverages cold. You can also bring prepared food or snacks on board and don’t forget the plates, utensils, and napkins!
We ask that you treat the boat as if it were your own. Please be careful not to spill food or drink on the seats and keep things neat and clean. You are responsible for the condition of the boat and it is expected that you’ll keep it clean for our next guests.
What should I take for the ride?
Whether you’re operating the boat yourself or with one of our captains, there are some things you may want to bring along to make the trip as pleasurable and comfortable as possible. Here is a list of just some of the items we suggest you bring:
Exploring the waters in and around the Miami coastline is one of the most popular things to do when visiting Florida and we built our business so that you and your family and friends can enjoy exploring south Florida by water. We understand that situations come up where your plans need to change but please understand that our boats are quite popular and sometimes get rented many days in advance.
If you are unable to keep your rental and you need to cancel, please contact us 48 hours in advance of your rental to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to your reservation forfeit the 15% deposit. If you cancel within 24 hours or fail to show up, you will be charged the full rental fee.
If we determine that cancellations have to be made due to inclement weather at the time of your rental, the cancellation policy does not apply and you can get a refund or work with us to reschedule.
